Well Bathurst is done, I set out with a couple of goals and I believe they were achieved. The first was to honour my agreement with the guys who paid for their drive and make sure they all got a fair go for having faith in me to deliver what I said I would and hopefully I achieved this. Secondly, I wanted to finish the race and thanks to the super effort from all you guys and the boys in the crew I was able to do that and I canít thank you all enough.
To finish the race in the manner we did was a highlight of my racing career and I will always remember it.
How boring would it have been if all went to plan and we did not have all the drama, disappointments, highs, lows and shit that only the Mountain can throw at you and I think all the drivers and crew should be proud of what we achieved and itís these things that make it all worth while and I sincerely thank you all for that.
A very special thanks to Bloke, Scott and all the boys in the crew, although we have only known most of you for a short time you impressed us all with your dedication to the task and the way you worked together in the true spirit of the sport to get us to the chequered flag. What a phenomenal effort exchanging that motor and gearbox assembly, under the extreme circumstances, an effort that was appreciated, not only by our team but by all your peers and everyone in attendance.
Our ďnever say dieĒ attitude will be talked about for years to come Iím sure Ė and that is special!
